History of the MA-1 Flight Jacket

Initially adopted by the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950s as a successor to the B-15 jacket introduced in 1944. It was designed to be worn in the so-called "intermediate zone" with temperatures ranging from 20°C to -10°C. The standard color was sage green, a deep green tone.

Marilyn Monroe: The Fusion of Old Hollywood and the B-15 Flight Jacket

Marilyn Monroe embodies the charm of Old Hollywood while perfectly aligning with the iconic style of the B-15 flight jacket. Known for its unique design, the B-15 has become a favorite among celebrities. In 1954, Monroe visited Korea, performing Anything Goes in a surprise show, bringing comfort to over 100,000 U.S. soldiers stationed far from home.

As winter approaches, the streets once again fill with people sporting the MA-1 flight jacket. Its versatility is something you can surely relate to—this jacket has been a staple throughout the years, seen everywhere from childhood to adulthood. Amazingly, it never goes out of style.
