Welcome to Karaku's blog.

This year, KARAKU celebrates its 5th anniversary.

This time, the project is a collaboration with Minato Yayoshiki , an illustrator who is gaining attention for his modern Japanese style .

About Mr. Minato Yayoshiki

Minato Yayoshiki
is known for his unique style that combines traditional Japanese elements with modern sensibilities.

He creates watercolor paintings of cats, monsters, and other creatures, focusing on a Japanese style.

We aim to create a work that conveys the good old Japonism left behind by our ancestors through stories and superstitions .

In particular, his works featuring monsters and cats as motifs are loved by many fans.

Collaborative Works

This collaboration will feature five cats drawn by Minatoya and
will feature two items: an aloha shirt and a T-shirt.

These designs are
a one-of-a-kind piece that combines the "chic" of Edo-period ukiyo-e with modern "playfulness," fusing traditional beauty with pop humor.

Each cat has its own story and personality.

Collaboration release items

This collaboration includes two items: an ukiyo-e style cat-patterned aloha shirt and a T-shirt.

Both are made from lightweight, comfortable materials that are perfect for summer.

■ Ukiyo-e style aloha shirt

This aloha shirt is full of Japanese style, with unique monster cats drawn in an ukiyo-e style
and scattered all over the shirt .

Black and white cats appear in a variety of expressions and styles,
creating a piece that exudes a sense of nostalgia and playfulness.

Just put it on and you'll have a unique presence.

The lightweight, breathable material makes it perfect for spring and summer.

■Ukiyo-e style T-shirt

This playful T-shirt features stuffed cats lined up like a real crane game .

The arm extending from the chest pocket is trying to grab a cat,
creating a unique design that will make you chuckle just by looking at it.

The colorful cats stand out against the off-white body, making it simple yet striking.

This special collaboration item will be available for pre-order from
April 16th at the KARAKU online store.

A special piece to celebrate the brand's 5th anniversary.
